ABOUT ALUMNI OF DISTINCTION
The Barry University Alumni Association and School of Podiatric Medicine have created the Alumni of Distinction designation to recognize alumni practitioners who epitomize the School’s values through their patient care and roles in their communities across the nation. These Doctors of Podiatric Medicine are also highly recognized throughout the sector by their peers for excellence in care, research, and innovations in the field.

Nominations for the 2021 Alumni of Distinction Awards are currently closed. Please visit us next year to nominate an Alumnus/Alumna for our 2022 Alumni of Distinction Awards.
Congratulations to the following alumni from the School of Podiatric Medicine, who have been selected as members of the inaugural 2021 class of the Podiatry Alumni of Distinction Award:
Dr. Michael D. Vaardahl, DPM 1998
Received a B.S. in Biological Sciences from University of CA, Irvine. He moved to Florida to pursue a Master of Science Degree in Biomedical Sciences from Barry.
Dr. John S. Steinberg, DPM 1995
Dr. Steinberg earned his BS degree in Biology and his DPM degree from Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine in 1995.
Dr. Christopher L. Reeves, DPM 2001
Dr. Christopher Reeves received his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine in 2001.
Dr. Annabelle L. Santos-Dookie, DPM 2011
Dr. Annabelle Dookie graduated valedictorian of her class in 2011 at Barry University’s School of Podiatric Medicine.
Dr. Imaze Marian M. Davis, DPM 2006
Dr. Imaze Marian Davis is a well accomplished Podiatric Physician who attended Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine at the age of 19.
These alumni practitioners have been awarded this designation as they epitomize the School’s values through their patient care and roles in their communities across the nation. These Doctors of Podiatric Medicine are also highly recognized throughout the sector by their peers for excellence in care, research, and innovations in the field.
The Alumni of Distinction honorees will be officially recognized on January 14 during a virtual awards ceremony to be held in conjunction with SAM 2021, the Florida Podiatric Medical Association’s Science & Management Symposium.
